How much energy am I using right now?
Lightapp is a certified data aggregator by PG&E and SCE ('Greenbutton'). All you need to do is log in to your PG&E or SCE account and look for the "Data Sharing & Download" option. Once connected, data for each meter will start streaming into Lightapp. 'Rate Dampener' will immediately begin generating reports, monitor consumption, and alert you of changes in consumption pattern changes.
How does it compare to yesterday/last month/last year? trends? patterns?
We like to start with a simple question: “How are we doing compared to this time last week/month/year?” The answer can be simply comparing period to period, but you miss the opportunity to understand the real drivers of change. Every time you view a dashboard, lightapp will calculate and account for the overall trend and causal factors to determine the basis for comparison (removes exceptions) and accounts for normal fluctuations before marking anything unusually high/low.
What’s my energy consumption per finished good?
To gain more insight, layer your production data (finished goods / raw materials flow) over energy consumption data and achieve real-time KPI of your consumption per unit trends. Detect anomalies and changes in real-time so you can act without delay and prevent further losses.
